TASSIE RUN 2017

CHAPTER SIX TASMANIA TOUR & ST HELENS ANNIVERSARY 2017

St Helens Tasmania Chapter Six 2017 “Tassy Run”

St Helens Alcoholics Anonymous groups are again having their AA rally. This weekend event has been happening for some time and Chapter Six Alcoholics Anonymous Motorcycle Group has been invited back to this annual event.

  • Friday night, an AA meeting and for as chance for all of us to meet up with our Tasmanian Friends.

  • Saturday, Alcoholics Anonymous and Alanon meetings all day and into the evening.

  • Sunday, a morning meeting and time to say goodbye.

A great weekend has previously been enjoyed by many AA’s and a great atmosphere of fellowship, friendship and recovery.

Accommodation is available in St Helens at the Anchor Wheel motel – there is enough accommodation for 10 people. If others need accommodation other motels will be available.

If you want to book you can contact Dave – the rates are:

  • $85:00 for a double room (3 rooms available)

  • $90:00 for a room with 3 separate beds (1 room available)

  • $80:00 1 bed only for $80:00 (1 room available)

Chapter Six Motorcycle Alcoholics Anonymous Group Itinerary:

Friday 24th March 2017: Ride from Devonport ferry terminal to St Helens.

Saturday 25th March 2017: Day spent in and around St Helens, attending meetings and sightseeing.

Sunday 26th March 2017: Depart St Helens and return to Devonport to the ferry terminal.

Everyone will have to book their own Spirit of Tasmania fares for their return trip.

Additional riding for those who may be interested...

A trip around Tasmania the week prior to the St Helens Anniversary – be aware that there will be other people going on this part of the ride who are not AA members but do respect our values.

(This itinerary is not set in concrete – it is changeable like the weather in Tasmania – accommodation is found when we arrive at our destination but some planning will take place in regard to this in some instances, riding free in this respect really helps you to live one day at a time).

If you only want to do part of this trip – want to deviate and go your own way during the trip it’s up to you – this week trip is as flexible as you want it to be.

We encourage AA members on this trip to carry the AA message as there will be time to go to meetings and time for fellowship and sharing.

If you want to join me and others on this ride you are more than welcome.
